Jeannine Thornton Obituary

Jeannine F. Thornton passed away at her home in Olympia, Washington on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at the age of 65. Jeannine had endured many heart complications for the past several years and died of cardiac arrest early Saturday morning. Jeannine's passion in life was to help people. Much of her work was in counseling. Some of her work included drug addiction recovery counseling, prisoner counseling at San Quentin Prison, and bereavement counseling for hospice cancer patients. Jeannine was also a very spiritual person who later in life dedicated much time to her spiritual studies. She earned the credentials of Ordained Minister, Doctor of Metaphysics, and Doctor of Religious Science, as well as being certified as a Master at the art of Reike. Jeannine was a very kind, helping, and loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Jeannine is survived by her older sister, Karen Lillard; twin sister, Jeannette Caress; daughter and son-in-law, Franci and Peter Griffith; son, Tony Guagliano; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Thornton; and three grandchildren, Austin Griffith, and Anna and Evan Thornton. Jeannine was a member of the Neptune Society, and her ashes were spread at sea. However, a memorial service will be held in Olympia on Saturday, April 14, 2007. Anyone wishing to attend can contact the family for more information.
