Olympia, Washington - Jonathan "Jon/JFo" Foster, 36, of Olympia, Washington, passed away on October 4, 2023 surrounded by family.

He had a deep appreciation for the arts that began at a young age. His tastes included theater, live music, movies, video games, cooking, classic literature, cartoons, and the list goes on. He embraced the richness and fullness of human expression. A natural performer, he was also active in theater, musicals and talent shows as a teenager.

Jonathan had the remarkable ability to engage people of all ages in conversation. He made a point to ensure everyone felt included, heard, cared for and valued. He would let you know he was always rooting for you.

His inherent talents and compassion contributed to his success as a dedicated educator. He focused on teaching English and Social Studies to underserved youth in the Pacific Northwest. His career has left an indelible mark on the lives of students and community members.

Jonathan's departure has left a void in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was beloved by his family, wife, friends, and students. He will be deeply missed, and his legacy of love and passion will continue to inspire all who were touched by his presence.

Jonathan's Celebration of Life event will take place on November 18 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at The Abigail Stuart House in Olympia, WA. This gathering is an opportunity for all who knew and loved Jonathan to come together, share memories, and celebrate his vibrant spirit.
