Kathleen McCormick Obituary

Kathleen McCormick Kathleen McCormick, born July 4, 1924 in Erie, PA and raised in Cleveland, OH passed away June 9, 2014 in Poulsbo, WA, surrounded by her loving family. In 1946, Kathleen married Frank McCormick of Baltimore, MD, and moved to Seattle, WA. They raised their nine children in Seattle, Tacoma, Walla Walla and Yakima, WA, where she was involved in her children's lives and daily activities. She enjoyed watching her daughter, Anne, participate in Special Olympics. After Frank's passing in 1981, she moved to Olympia, WA, and she enjoyed being an active member of St. Michael Catholic Parish, where she was Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and served food at funeral receptions. She also enjoyed serving food for the non-profit, Bread and Roses. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Francis (Frank) Xavier McCormick; and daughter, Patty (died as an infant). She is survived by 9 children and 13 grandchildren. A rosary will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Parish in Olympia, WA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 4, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Parish.
