Kennedale, Texas - Born in Port Townsend WA. to Fred and Norma Lopeman on July 12, 1956. After a brief time in Utah and Pennsylvania the family returned to Washington in 1959 where Kirk attended local schools in Tumwater and Lacey. He enlisted in the Army for one tour in 1974.Upon his return he found employment in the roofing industry, following in his father's footsteps. In 1982 he followed his friends to Texas and remained in roofing employment. He joined Cardinal Roofing in 1996 until he had to terminate employment due to health reasons just five months before retirement. Kirk was preceded in death by his father Fred in June 2006 and great grandson Wesley, 2022. Kirk is survived by his wife Zandal, in the family home at Kennedale Texas. Two sons Erin and Matthew, daughter Andrea, granddaughters Analesa and Trinity, grandsons Blaine, Collin, Tre and Levi. Mother Norma Croshaw of Lacey, WA, five sisters Kristine Lopeman, Karen Donnelly, Karleen Brown (Bill) Kelly Salzer (Gus), Kaye Campeau and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his dog Bandit who stayed by his side during his illness.
The funeral services for Kirk will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, November 28, at the Northside Church of the Nazarene,6750 Denton Hwy, Watauga, TX with Pastor Lynn officiating. Interment is at the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Tx. Arrangements are by Greenwood Funeral Homes, Mount Olivet Chapel, Fort Worth TX.
