Lorna Burt Obituary

In loving memory of Lorna J. Burt who passed away at St. Peter Hospital on October 24, 2006. Lorna was born on December 17, 1934 in Erie, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1952. After living in Texas and California for many years, Lorna settled in Olympia twelve years ago. She loved the small town feel of Olympia and spent many weekends exploring the city and neighboring towns. The beauty of the Northwest inspired her own interest in gardening. Frequent trips to Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia gave her many of the ideas which helped nurture her own beautiful yard and garden. She had a wonderful eye for color and design, both indoors and out. Lorna is survived by her three daughters, Debbie, Vickie, and Cindy; grandson, Ian; and son-in- law, Tom; as well as many friends and neighbors and several well-loved lifelong friends from her childhood in Erie, Pennsylvania. Lorna was a wonderful mom and grammy. Her loving presence, great sense of humor, and caring concern will be missed, but always felt. There will be a private, family service at the Woodlawn Funeral Home in Lacey. If desired, the family suggests memorials be made to any animal rescue service of your choosing.
