Mildred Slater Obituary

The angels came for her quietly in the night of September 9, 2001, with her family by her side. Mildred I. "Millie" Slater was born in Superior, Wis. on October 27, 1914. She married George Slater on March 17, 1934. They moved out West in 1942. They had 7 children, 5 surviving. She was a member of the Light and Life Fellowship Church for 50 years. She was a homemaker and did volunteer work for the church, missions and community. She enjoyed dahlias, sewing, quilting, jokes, and being with friends and family.A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 12, at 1:00 p.m. at the Light and Life Bible Fellowship Church in Olympia.
