Nadine has been my best friend for morethan 25 yrs. I first met Nadine when Sonya introduced us at the flower shop where I worked, Sonya recognized Nadine and I were both going to SSPS for dental hygiene. It was months later when I ran into her while studing with Julie, Julie and I were in a lot of the same classes and Nadine was in other classes but we would visit at lunch and I would get test tips on sociology from Nadine,she woud open my book and point to what I needed to know for the test.
We both ended up at Clark College and became study buddys and fast friends.
We've seen each other through badtimes and goodtimes. We had common interests in politics,work and family. We quickly recognized we could vacation together for less money because we would split the bill.
I convinced Nadine to come to work for WDG
[worked at diffrent offices so we could continue to vacation together].
Nadine and Doris were my source for sports team info, They would get so exited watching the games, it was infectious.
Nadine and I teamed up with Leslie about 10 yrs ago to start Smile Care LLC as RDH's at the senior centers. She worked with us until about 2 1/2 yrs ago serving senior dental hygiene needs once a month as a community service.
Her spirit for living is so alive in everyone around her, both family and friends. Her story will live on for a very longtime. I will miss her but will continue to reflect on her truths of living in the shadow of GOD and his SON JESUS as the anchor of life here and later.
