Paula Shaw Obituary
February 23, 1967 - January 4, 2025
Olympia, Washington - It is with great sadness we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Paula Evans Shaw on January 4, 2025, just a month short of her 58th birthday.
Paula was born and raised in Olympia, Washington and attended St. Michael's Grade School, Olympia High School and graduated from Gonzaga University.
She was a cherished wife, mother, daughter and sister and is survived by her husband Greg, daughter Ella, son Ewan, Mother Colleen Evans and two sisters, Corinne Dowd and Sheila Lewis (Jeff), her mother-in-law Sharon Shaw and brother-in-law Jeff Shaw (Stuart).
Predeceased by her father Robert (Bob) Evans, her father-in-law Gary Shaw and brother-in-law Rick Shaw. She was a beloved aunt to five nieces and had a large extended family.
Her professional career was in Accounting and Office Management. Previously, was the co-owner with husband Greg of Second Ascent, an outdoor retail store in Ballard, WA.
A lifelong recreational athlete who participated in triathlons, the Half Ironman, skiing and climbed the Dolomites Mountain range in Italy.
She is remembered for her warm smile, sense of humor, compassion and nurturing friendships through travel, volunteerism, athletic competitions, and game nights.
Funeral will be held on June 20, 2025, at noon, St. Michael's Parish, 1208 11th Ave SE, Olympia WA. The funeral will be livestreamed youtube.com/c/saintmichaelparish.org.
