Lacey, Washington - Rosie was born in Clinton, Iowa, on February 27, 1946, and died on October 2, 2022, at the Roo-Lan Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lacey, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Ellyne F. Greene, and brother-in-law, Tom (Claudette's husband); and is survived by her daughter, Cherise (Scott) Tyler; sisters, Claudette of Tenino, Washington, and Shelley (Gene) of Fairbanks, Alaska; and her brothers, Jim (Geri) and Joe of Olympia, Washington.
Rosie graduated from North Thurston High School and attended Centralia Junior College. Her work life began at Ernst Hardware in Lacey and various other locations around western Washington, and she eventually earned promotions to store manager also at various locations. Rosie eventually left Ernst Hardware and began a second career as the office manager for the Roof Doctor of Olympia, where she spent 20 plus years.
Rosie was generous beyond belief. Her biggest joy, however, was spending time with family, especially her grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. Over the years, Rosie developed a very wide circle of treasured and loyal friends, including the Ya-Ya's.
A catered Celebration of Life for Rosie is scheduled for Sunday, October 23, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at the Lacey Community Center, 6729 Pacific Avenue SE, Lacey, WA 98503.
Memorial donations may be made in Rosie's name to the American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Sweet Friend, I was so saddened to hear of your passing. We shared great memories of our younger teenage years. First when we met in Germany where our dads were stationed. And when we reconnected in Lacey/Olympia. RIP Friend. I´ll hold you in my heart with love. Great memories and times shared.

Oh Rosie. I´m so sad. You were a mentor, friend and lovely person. She shared her apartment with me at a time I needed. We worked together at Ernst in Lacey. You are missed. Love you Rosie.

I was so saddened to hear of Rosie's passing today. She was an amazing, hard working lady that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. I must say, it was truly a honor to have known her as both a friend and co-worker for many years.
She was loved and respected by everyone and her memories will last forever.

Rosie was a gem to her town. She was so very kind and thoughtful and joyful to my mom Erika Jones. Our mom's were widowed about the same time, and Rosie always made Erika feel loved.
To her family I wish you peace knowing she is was a gift and no longer suffering.

Rosie was a wonderful person, a pioneer, one of the first women to become managers at Ernst and Pay n Save in the 70s. She was a sweet and capable person. I am glad to have known her. RIP Rosie
