Victor Lattin Obituary

Victor E. Lattin, 80, longtime resident and owner of the Lattin Country Cider Mill died Sunday, December 8, 2002. He was born December 24, 1921 in Seattle. During WWII he served with the US Army in France. Following his discharge he returned to Seattle where he attended and graduated from the University of Washington. He then worked for the University for a few years before he moved to Olympia to work for the Washington State Employees Retirement Systems. Victor married Carolyn (Gering), June 18, 1955 in Seattle.Victor was instrumental in setting up the first computer center at Centralia Community College which was later moved to South Puget Sound Community College. He and his wife Carolyn along with their children owned and operated the Country Cider Mill. He enjoyed his family, fishing, flowers and woodworking. He had been a member of the United Churches, Olympia. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn; sons, Chris and Steven Lattin; daughters, Debbie Lattin and Sherrie Kohlmann; grandchildren, Wyndi, Christina, Matthew and Victoria, all of Olympia; sister, Frances Vander- Wel of Enumclaw. Funeral services will begin Thursday, December 12th, 1:00 p.m. at Mills & Mills Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Rd SW, Tumwater. Burial will follow at Olympic Memorial Gardens.
