Christy Williams Obituary

Christy J. (Drubert) Williams, age 48, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Summit Nursing and Rehab of Ft. Wayne, IN after a valiant fight against a very rare brain tumor.
Christy was born to Fred and Becky (Leachman) Drubert on May 28, 1974 in South Bend, IN. She grew up in Plymouth and graduated in 1993 from Argos High School in Argos, IN. She moved to Tiffin, Ohio and was married in August 1997 to Craig Williams. During their marriage they had two children, Kaitlyn and Aaron. She worked at the Best Buy Distribution facility in Findlay, Ohio the years prior to moving back to Plymouth where she resided until her passing. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing word searches and crossword puzzles. She was always the life of the party, talking to people and making new friends while making memories with everyone. She loved to laugh and if you were a friend, you were a friend for life. She has always been the type of person to give you the shirt off her back even if it was her last one.
Christy is survived by her father, Fred (Dawn) Drubert of Plymouth, IN; her children: Kaitlyn (Jacob) Walton of Upper Sandusky, Oh; Aaron Williams of Upper Sandusky, OH; her grandson, Lane Craig Walton; her sister, Wendy (Bryon) Haenes of Plymouth, IN; her brothers: Phillip (Kristina) Drubert of Rochester, IN; Randy (Alison) Hankins of St. Petersburg, FL; Dan Drubert of Plymouth, IN; Adam Bielinski (Danielle Young) of Plymouth, IN; her grandmother, Lucille Leachman Kniggendorf of Plymouth, IN; and her step-father, Michael Matosich of New Port Richey, FL; as well as her aunt, Kelly Leachman; her uncles: Matt Leachman (Pablo Szneiberg); and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Christy is preceded in death by her mother, Becky (Leachman) Matosich; her paternal grandparents, Fred "Fritz" and Ann Drubert; and her maternal grandfather, Frank Leachman.
The family wishes to thank everyone in the community who helped Christy during these last several years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Plymouth American Legion (1040 E. Jefferson St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with final expenses or to establish a college fund for her grandson, Lane.
Thank you to all our friends and community for your support during this difficult time.

I did not know Christy, but I am a friend of her brother Adam. Her picture shows a beautiful young woman who's life ended way to soon. I would like to send my deepest sympathy to Adam and to All of Christi's family. May God bless you all during this difficult time.
