Clara Rosebaum Obituary
Clara Luella (Powell) Rosebaum, 77 of Plymouth, Indiana passed away Oct. 28, 2025, at 1:43 p.m. at We Belong Senior Home, Plymouth, Indiana. On July 23, 1948, in Terre Haute, Indiana she was born to Thomas Taylor Powell and Rebecca May (Powers) Powell-Fribley. Clara had lived most of her life in Marshall County.
On June 4, 1966, in Culver, Indiana she married Howard "Joe" Philip Rosebaum and for 58 years they shared the joys, worries, tenderness, and companionship of their married life until Joe's passing on Nov. 5, 2024.
Clara was a housewife and homemaker always attending to her family's needs. Family was most important to her. She and Joe were never one to be idol in their married life. They had several business endeavors together owning the Argos Service Center, Argos Parts Store, Argos Family Game Room, C&J Salvage, and ran the Plymouth Mud Bog for several years.
She was Baptized as a child and attended church regularly with her family. She was a past member of the Moose Lodge Auxiliary. Clara and Joe vacationed all over the United States and wintered in Avon Park, Florida where she was known as the "Karaoke Queen". She crocheted blankets for all her grandchildren and many family members.
Clara attended Argos High School with the class of 1966.
Clara is survived by her Daughters - Tawnya Thayer and husband Todd of Argos, Indiana; Lisa Hensley and husband Bobby of Argos, Indiana; Lori Parrish and husband Michael of Argos, Indiana, 5 Grandchildren - Michael Thayer and wife Ashley of Argos, Indiana; Brandon Hensley and wife Lindsey of Argos, Indiana; Kristin Verhaeghe and husband Kyle of Argos, Indiana; Tiffany Herr and husband Cole of Plymouth, Indiana; and Stefany Edmonds and husband Sam of Noblesville, Indiana, 14 Great Grandchildren, Sister - Becky Quimby of Walkerton, Indiana
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Stepfather - Harley Fribley, Sisters - Dorothy Frayer and Nellie Evans-Turpin, Brothers - Thomas Powell, William Powell, and Fred Powell
The family of Clara would like to send a heartfelt "Thank You" to all the caregivers who helped in Clara's care this past year.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday Nov. 1, 2025, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Parkside Community Church, 225 S. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church with Rev. Brian Trump. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
