Daniel Kindig Obituary

Daniel L. Kindig, age 64 of Bourbon, went to be with the Lord, whom he loved on Nov. 15, in his home.
Daniel was born to Richard and Kay (Hatfield) Kindig on June 25, 1957 in Rochester. He graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School. He married his lovely wife, Jacqueline Walters on May 5, 1979. Daniel retired in 2017 from his career as a Postal Carrier after 30 years. He enjoyed watching the Indy 500, Cubs games, and football as he was a Notre Dame and Chicago Bears fan. He also liked to fish, golf, swim, travel, and spend time with his family. He served in the United States Army from 1978 to 1982. He was also a member of the American Legion and Bourbon First United Methodist Church. He will be missed by many of the people whose lives he touched.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; his daughter, Kayla (Cameron) Summers of Winona Lake, and their children; Quinten, Sawyer and Jacob; his son, Matthew (Sunny) Kindig of Vicenza, Italy (and Bourbon) and their children; Kevin and Kacey; his sister, Teresa (Raymond) Hansen of Francesville; his in-laws, Duane and Geneal Walters of Tippecanoe; his brother-in-law, Brett Walters of Bourbon; two nieces: Bailey Walters and Shanna Powell; and his nephew, Wesley Hansen.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 21, from 2 – 3:30 p.m. in Bourbon First United Methodist Church,204 N. Washington St., Bourbon.
Memorial Service will follow at 3:30 p.m. with Pastors Kenneth Cooke and Rob Seewald presiding.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 4:30 p.m. in the Bourbon American Legion,S. Main St., Bourbon with Military Honors.
