Kathy Jo Peelle

1950 - 2024

Kathy Jo Peelle, 74 years old and a life-long resident of Knox, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024. She was born August 8, 1950, to Charles Peelle Jr. and June (Phillips) Peelle in Knox, Indiana.
As a young woman, Kathy lived in Warsaw and worked for Maple Leaf Farms.
Kathy was an active member in many of the churches in the area, most recently New Hope Baptist Church in Knox. She loved the Lord and gospel music. She was also a member of the Starke County Historical Society.
Kathy was active in The Special Olympics for Marshall-Starke counties for decades. She looked forward to competing in bocce ball in the spring/summer and bowling in the winter. In the last few years, she was active in Red Hat Society. Kathy enjoyed playing bunco, bingo and loved being out and about with her friends, going for lunch, coffee or exercise class. She loved getting her hair and nails done at Knox Beauty College anytime she could. Her greatest passion, however, was spending time with her family and friends, especially on her birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Kathy is survived by her sister Beverly (Tom) Spradlin of Indianapolis, Indiana, sister Becky Duncan of Elba, Alabama, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and June Peelle Jr., brother Frank James Peelle, sisters Barbara Proud and Margaret Sue Bunkowfst.
Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox, Saturday, November 2, 2024. Visitation is 11AM to 2PM (CST), with services starting at 2PM.
