Norma Heide Obituary

Born Norma Miller March 22, 1920 in her parents home in Mount Herman, Louisiana.  Her father was James "Jimmie" Miller and her mother was Ivy Belle Morris Miller.  Norma had five siblings, Blanche, Carruth, James William, Nelson and Jack Harlan. Norma attended school in Mount Herman. She married Charles Edward Boyter, Jr. on December 10, 1936 and she gave birth to five children, Charles James, Milton Edward, Norma Jean, Mildred and Carolyn Sue.  Milton died on Novenber 18, 1939 and Mildred died on August 16, 1942.  During these years, the family lived in Mount Herman, Vivian and Shreveport, Louisiana, Pascagoula, Mississippi and Nacogdoches and Orange, Texas. Norma's Marriage to Charles Edward ended in divorce about 1953.  Then she attended Lamar College in Beaumont, Texas to pursue a career in bookkeeping.  Norma married Rudolph Eric "Rudi" Heide on July 8, 1955 and she later gave birth to Helen Marie Heide in Orange, Texas. Immediately upon Helen's birth in 1956, the family moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida.  They moved to Cocoa, Florida in 1958.  Norma opened Heide's Business Service in Cocoa in 1965 and her husband joined her in the business upon his retirement from his position as a manager of test equipment labs with RCA in 1976.  Norma and Rudi were members of  Calvary Chapel church on Merritt Island for more than twenty years.  Rudi died of a heart attack on November 17, 2008.  Norma died on October 1, 2009 after an extended illness.

Mother gave us all she had all her life. She is greatly missed.
