Terri Furnivall Obituary
Terri Furnivall, 75, of Tippecanoe passed away at 12:44 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Hickory Creek of Rochester.
On March 11, 1948, Treassa Jean Hall was born in Warsaw to John and Margaret Gores Hall. Growing up she shared her childhood with five siblings.
She graduated from Akron High School with the class of 1966.
In Rochester, on Jan. 22, 1966, Terri married the love of her life, Delon Furnivall. They enjoyed 57 years of life's adventures. From their union came a beautiful daughter Sherri. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of five grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
With a strong faith, Terri was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Plymouth. She worked for a number of years at Lau formerly Torin of Rochester.
The Furnivall's loved to travel. They have visited all 50 states and have experienced the beauty of seven foreign countries. In 2011 Delon and Terri traveled on Route 66. The simplicity of being outdoors, enjoying nature and observing wildlife was always a special way to relax.
As an accomplished artist, Terri painted on slate, canvas, milk cans and anything that didn't move. Her subjects included animals, landscapes, nature and vintage automobiles. Her work was featured in several local magazines including Indiana Outdoors. Many of her works were showcased on display at the Indiana State Parks. Channel 34, PBS featured Terri's works of art as well. With a keen eye Terri became very proficient with capturing images with her Canon. This came after Delon guided her, sharing his expertise on photography.
Left to cherish Terri's memory are her husband Delon; a daughter, Sherri Cameron and husband Ronald of Arizona; five grandchildren: Mary Cameron, Angus Cameron and wife Miranda, Ian Cameron, Emma Cameron, Ewen Cameron; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding Terri in death are her parents.
A celebration of the life of Treassa Jean Furnivall will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9645 Deer Trail, Plymouth. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service in the church.
The Good Family Funeral Home of Rochester has been entrusted with the arrangements.
