Thomas Lee Dean

1936 - 2022

Thomas Lee Dean, 86 of Tippecanoe, Indiana passed away Dec. 6, 2022 at 1:25 p.m. at his residence where he had been in declining health for the past year. On May 2, 1936 in Dunkirk, Indiana he was born to Robert L. Dean and Vivian (McNutt) Dean. Thomas lived in Tippecanoe, Indiana since 1960, having grown up in the Muncie community.
In October 1956 Thomas married Martha J. Hartley, she preceded him in March 1962. He then married Julia A. Bailey , she preceded him in September 1996.
Thomas worked for Panel Craft for several years before starting his own business, Custom Aluminum and for nearly 30 years he installed Awnings and Siding.
He was a former member of the Plymouth Moose Lodge, and a frequent visitor of the Bourbon American Legion Post#424. He had a wonderful sense of humor and once commented "The only thing he was great at was being a Great Grandpa".
Thomas is survived by his Daughter – Jenny Kadis of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Sons – Darrell L. Dean and wife Joanne of Warsaw, Indiana; and Alan L. Dean and companion Debbie Warner of Plymouth, Indiana
8 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren
Brother – Robert E. Dean and wife Mary of Anderson, Indiana
He is preceded in death by his: Parents, Wives, and Son – Wesley L. Dean
Per Thomas's wishes a Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Walnut Church of the Brethren Cemetery on April 8, 2023, at 11 a.m.
An Open-House will follow from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Bourbon Matchett Center, 805 N. Harris St., Bourbon, Indiana. Join the family for Thomas's favorite BBQ and share a story or two.
