Michael Hapner 51, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Aug. 18, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 21, 1967 in Elkhart to Joe and Donna (Steglich) Hapner.
He is survived by his mother, Donna (Gregg) Coon of Big Lake; his father, Joe (JoAnn) Hapner of Syracuse; brother Shawn (Nan) Hapner of Warsaw; four step-brothers, Dale (Kathy) Woods of Ligonier, Carl (Tebby) Woods of Ligonier, Rex (Cindy) Woods of Rockford, Ill. and Randy (Rose) Woods of Goshen. He is also survived by his companion Joe Purcell of Fort Wayne.
Private family services will be held. Eastlund Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

it is september 12 2022 did not see this. My sister Becky entered into spirit august 26, 2022 will always miss you left short street in october after 6 years left alot of memories. Miss you and think of you often Love akways ,Joe

if my michael did not enter into spirit he would be only 53 years old on april 21st my dad Edward Purcell would of been 96 today . Michael always wanted to been able to meet my dad and I am faithfully hoping they got and have met each other so they can share joy together I love you michael (unconditionally) as you told me Miss you love your snarly smile...Love Joe

i attempted to add a memory on what would of been your 52nd birthday april 21, It was easter sunday. Last year 2018 easter was on april 1st I found out that easter is the first sunday after the first full moon after the beginning of spring. I will always miss you. forever Joe
