Richard Eugene "Dick" Hyndman, 89, retired Columbia City Police Officer, died peacefully at his home at 9:53 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
Burial will be beside his wife at Greenhill Cemetery.
Visitation is from noon until the time of the service on Monday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to American Legion Post 98 or to final expenses, c/o Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
