BARBARA A. DUDAK

1943 - 2024

GRASSFLAT - Barbara A. Dudak, 80, of Grassflat, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Williamsport South Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, Williamsport.

Born Aug. 25, 1943 in Grassflat, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Margaret (Josephson) Gomola.

She wed the love of her life, Joseph E. Dudak, on Sept. 12, 1964 at Clarence Roman Catholic Church, Clarence and after 58 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on June 18, 2022.

Surviving are her sons, Michael E. Dudak of Grassflat, Brian J. Dudak and companion Billie Callahan of Lanse, and her daughter, Alexa Smeal, Scott J. Dudak and wife Karen of Loganton; her granddaughters, Alicia Dudak of Loganton, Lauren Dudak of Loganton; her sibling, Sandra Jean Stiner of Williamsport; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Hoffman; and brother, James J. Gomola.

Barbara was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Grassflat, where she was a member of the Ladies Jednota Lodge, Grassflat and the Hospitality Society for many years. She was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and had worked at Kylertown Truck Stop, Kylertown, then at Walmart Distribution Center, Woodland. She loved to crochet. She also loved spending many happy, loving times with her family, especially her grand-daughters.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Grassflat and again on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at the church at 7:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. William Barron as celebrant.

She will be laid to rest at the church cemetery in Grassflat.
