Paul was truly "a good man " I had the pleasure to know

I used to watch him play football for Al Browns 1958 Curwensville championship team and got to know him better as a lions club member

One day at the county fair concessions under the grandstand he told me the story of meeting his "guardian angel "

I was moved by it and will share it with you;

He was coming back, I believe from St Marys, from a band performance. It was late, after midnight, and 20 below zero. His old car broke down somewhere around Weedville. Paul got out and started thumbing for a ride. A car picked him up and took him to the other side of Weedville and let him out. Paul told me he wasn´t prepared to be walking in that kind of weather and honestly thought he may not survive.

He started walking towards clearfield hoping for another ride. He said his guardian angel worked through the guy that dropped him off and he turned around and picked him up and drove him home to Clearfield

Now he may have the opportunity to become someone else´s guardian angel

Rest in peace Paul

I have known Paul for many, many years and had the pleasure of playing in bands with him over the last 50 years. He is a dear friend and a wonderful human being, as well as a fantastic musician who always knew those chords we could never get right on our own. I miss you already. Rest in peace, and start a band in heaven. I am sure you are already there!
