GEORGE ELINSKY Obituary
He was born on Jan. 18, 1928 in Curwensville, a son of the late Mike and Mary Elinsky.
Mr. Elinksy retired from the Iron Workers Union after 25 years of employment. He then became self-employed, working with real estate. He is very close with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a very active and very proudly the oldest member of Faith Bible Church, Lumber City.
Mr. Elinsky served with the U. S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his daughter, Connie Pelton and companion Dean Fetters of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Garry Douglas Pelton Jr. and wife Becky of Colo., Nanette Pelton and significant other Duane of Clearfield; great grandchildren, Trey, Erin, Steven, and Gabrielle; a sister, Helen Traister of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; three nieces, Paula Gaetano of Pittsburgh, Rose Bloom of Clearfield, and Judy Rafferty of Calif.; a step-son, Roger Hamm and wife Diane of Ohio; and two step grandchildren, Aaron and Nathan Hamm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Lockett) Elinsky; two sons, Ed Elinsky and James Elinsky; and a daughter, Cindy Elinsky; and siblings, Ann, Nick, Ted, Mary Jane, and Katherine.
In honor of Mr. Elinsky's wishes, there will be no services observed.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Faith Bible Church, 398 Grandview Rd., Curwensville, PA 16833; or to the Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory, 113 North Third St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
