Grace Gould Obituary

PORTAGE, Mich.- Grace Margaret Gould, 80, formerly of Coalport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025 in Portage, Mich.

Grace was born at home in Clearfield County on Nov. 21, 1944, the daughter of Melvin T. and Margaret (Sneath) Monahan.

Grace graduated from BCI High School and had a laugh that will never be forgotten. Many memories have been made with family playing cards, Yahtzee, Bingo and other fun games. Her siblings remember them not laughing but cackling together over just about anything.

Grace loved reading her Bible and picking wild strawberries. She will be remembered as a hard worker and someone who would always help family and friends in need.

Over the years, she worked as a coal miner, in an auto body shop, as a waitress, factory worker, and many other jobs. Her best job though was as the mother to her three children.

Grace is survived by her children Jim Warfield, Lisa (Paul) Kephart, Connie Branch; grandchildren, Michael (Shannon Utz) Kephart, Jamie (Brandt) Hipple, Andrew Branch, Conner Branch; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Brandt, Sophie, Liam, Logan; brother, Robert (Nancy) Monahan; sisters Gloria (Ronnie) Rainey, Helen Wilkinson; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Melvin; sisters, Dorothy, Arlene, Hazel, Nancy, and Betty; and brother-in-law Chuck Wilkinson.
