Harold Dixon Obituary
Born July 29, 1938, in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Merlyn J. and Freda (Hazel) Dixon.
On Oct. 24, 1957 in Morrisdale, he married the love of his life, Mary Lou (Bashore) Dixon who preceded him in death on Aug. 14, 2008.
Surviving are his children, Eileen Domanick, Hyde; Harold L. Dixon, Jr., Bath, PA; his granddaughter, Holly Jackson and husband Leon, Houtzdale; his great-granddaughter, Anamaria Jackson; his siblings, Richard Dixon and wife Brenda, Morrisdale; Kathy Hoffman and husband Marty, Lewistown; and Michael Dixon, Clearfield.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, David Allen Dixon; his sisters, Betty Travis and Linda Dixon; his brothers, Samuel, Robert and Jim Dixon and an infant brother, Donny.
Harold was a veteran of the US Navy where he served during the Korean Conflict. He was the first person to mow the Penn State Stadium grounds. He loved NASCAR races and was an avid collector of NASCAR. He loved collecting anything M&M's memorabilia.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale from 11 a.m. to noon with a funeral service to follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Vicki Beilfuss officiating.
He will be laid to rest in Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home at noon.
