I first got to know Pappy when l was in high school waitressing. Moved back to the area several years ago and he still remembered me and always took the time to ask how you´re doing and tell you it´s great to see you. Such a genuine and kind man. He will be remembered fondly by me and my family.

I remember many years ago when my sister and I were working in Altoona. We were between Smoke Run and Hegarty's cross roads. I had a flat tired. We had to wear business attire. A Penndot truck pulled up behind and Jim was one of the ones in it. He walked up to my car to see if I needed any help. I told him that it was a flat tire. He told me that I was dressed up and couldn't see me getting dirty. He changed my tire for me. I will always remember that. Every time that I saw him, I would say hello and talk to him. He always so friendly and polite. There will be so miss him and have such wonderful memories of him. Melissa, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. May God wrap his loving arms around your family and help to give you peace and comfort and peace through and after your loss.
