JANICE GUIHER Obituary
Born Dec. 7, 1961 in Philipsburg she was the daughter of James and Janet (Baer) Carns.
She was a 1979 graduate of Moshannon Valley Area High School. She was a homemaker and also had worked at Berg Electronics in Clearfield. She was a member of Hepburnia Church of Faith.
On Nov. 6, 1982 in Glen Hope, she wed Allen Guiher who survives of Grampian; along with a daughter Janea Schreckengost (Zach) of West Decatur; a granddaughter Adrianna Schreckengost; and her mother Janet Carns of Madera; a brother James "Jim" Carns, Sr. (Lois) of Grampian; and a sister Rena Haney (Randy) of Coalport; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother Edward "Ed" Carns.
Funeral services will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rick Butler officiating.
Interment will follow at the Friends Cemetery in Grampian.
Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Janice and I were classmates through our junior high and high school years. We also were in the band together. She was always playing pranks and making us laugh, especially on those bus trips to our competitors fields during football season. I only saw her a few times after graduation, but she had the same smile and congenial personality. My sincere sympathy to the family. May she rest in peace. God bless all of you.

Please accept our condolences in the passing of Ms. Janice.
It really wasn't that long ago when we all enjoyed the sunshine of our youth. But now as we have aged we must endure the dark clouds of infirmities that come along with the evenings of our lives.
Our days are short, even if we live to be 100, compared to eternity.
Thanks be unto our God for His promise of a better, suffering free, eternal life through the redeeming blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In this alone, there is hope for all who will receive it. In this God's people have hope in a better resurrection.
