Joseph Fenush Obituary
Born Oct. 3, 1935 in Drifting, he was the son of the late Adam and Helen (Dudak) Fenush.
On Nov. 14, 1959 at St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting, he married the love of his life, Dorothy (Starr) Fenush of Kerr Addition, Clearfield and who survives at home in Grassflat.
Surviving are two children, Joseph Fenush, Jr. and his wife Robin; Charlene Petkac and husband Andrew; four grandchildren, one step-granddaughter; and two great-grandsons. Joseph was the last of his generation.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Plubell.
Joseph had worked for Quehanna Hardwood for 42 years. He was their sawyer for 22 years. He was a member of St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting, where he was an Usher. He was a member of the Jednota Lodge, 333 First Catholic Slovak Union Catholic Lodge.
Joseph was a veteran of the US Army for three years as a Specialist 4th Class, he also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War, Post #17, Clearfield. He liked to hunt and was great at woodworking. He enjoyed bus trips to the casinos.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024 from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., at St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Father William Barron as celebrant. Military honors will be accorded at the graveside.
He will be laid to rest in St. Severin Roman Catholic Cemetery, Drifting.
Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat, is in charge of the arrangements.

My sincere condolences to the Fenush family. I know that this may not mean much at this time but I picked blueberries with Mr Fenush and his son many years ago . What I remember most about that was how he made me feel comfortable and welcomed in his home.
