MARY KASSAB Obituary
She was a devoted wife of the late Francis P. Kassab and loving mother of three children.
Born in Woodland on January 15, 1921, Mary was the daughter of the late Anzvino and Victoria (Kukla) Libreatori.
Mary was employed at Ames and Leitzinger's Department Stores in Clearfield before retiring and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield before leaving the area.
Survivors include her children, Rodney L. Kassab (Glenda) of Macungie, Coleen R. Kipp (Robert) of Alpharetta, Ga., and Colin A. Kassab (Donna) of Whitehall; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Due to concerns and restrictions regarding the pandemic crisis, the family has elected to offer a short service at the small church located at the Bradford Cemetery in Woodland starting at Noon on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
However, a celebration of Mary's life of close to 100 years will be held at a later date and notifications will be sent at that time.
The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Rte. 309 in Schnecksville is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Cards and handwritten notes may be sent to the family through the funeral home.

So sorry for your loss, Aunt Mary was a great lady. I used to do her hair when I worked for Frankalee. She was one of the best. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I remember Mrs. Kassab from the days when Coleen and I were school friends. She was always so open, welcoming and kind. I thought she was like the mother in a favorite story. She clearly loved her family and her life. How wonderful that she lived to be 99 years old...and yet that is perhaps not long enough for those who loved her best. My condolences to Rodney, Coleen, and Colin.

I worked with Mary at Leitzinger 's in Clearfield, it was my first job. She was a joy to work with and we laughed a lot! She talked about her children often and how proud she was with what they were doing with their lives. I remember her telling me about her daughter's dogs and that they were so tall they would sit on a chair like a person. She was fun loving, full of life and a joy to know. I am sorry for your loss, she will be missed.
