NANCY SMEAL Obituary
She was born Aug. 18, 1940 at Philipsburg. She was the daughter of the late Susana (Pirow) and George Sabol, Sr.
She married Melvin G. Smeal on Aug. 15, 1959 in Hawk Run.
She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church, Morrisdale where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob and William; and one sister, H. Yvonne Fetcenko.
During her lifetime she was employed as a secretary at the Boys Industrial Home in Pittsburgh; a medical secretary at the Coatesville Hospital, Coatesville; and a legal secretary for a period of 30 years for the Law Offices of Bell, Silber Blatt and Wood of Clearfield.
She is survived by her former husband, Melvin G. Smeal of Morrisdale; her son, Lester G. Smeal and his wife Lisa; two grandchildren, Brooke A. Conklin and her husband James of Ashland and Airman Lester G. Smeal, II and his wife Megan of Weirton, W. Va.; four great-grandchildren, James Alan Conklin, III, Aubrey Dawn Conklin, Flynn George Smeal and Jack Louis Smeal.
She was also survived by one brother, George Sabol, Jr.; and one sister, Jean Lingenfelter.
She loved spending time with her family and sitting on her porch listening to the rain with a cup of coffee.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church, RR Morrisdale with Pastor Jeff Lauer officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Fairview United Methodist Cemetery, RR Morrisdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Nancy Marie Smeal Account, P.O. Box 238, 171 Deer Creek Rd., Morrisdale, PA 16858.

I loved going to the football games and watching the cheerleaders, especially Nancy. I entered High School, Morris Township in 1958, and I became a Cheerleader and Nancy's cheerleading outfit was handed down to me. I felt so proud that I got to wear her cheerleading outfit. I never really had any contact with her but thought she was the cutest girl in H.S. and I wanted to be just like her. So sorry for your loss. R.I.P.

I was fortunate enough to work many years at BSW with Nancy. She was always at her happiest when sharing stories of her family.
