Robert Bush Obituary
Born on May 5, 1941 in West Decatur, he was a son of Robert P. and Naomi E. (Bean) Bush.
Bob was a 1960 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School and received an Associate degree in Landscaping from Penn State.
Bob owned Bush Landscaping and served many properties and businesses within the Philipsburg area.
He was a member of the National Guard, Port Matilda American Legion and Pine Grove Mills VFW.
Bob was a life member of the Philipsburg Elks and a regular blood donor and volunteer for the American Red Cross.
On June 11, 1989 in Port Matilda, he married Dawn Mulligan, who survives at home.
Bob is also survived by his children, Nomi Minarchick of Port Matilda, Maribeth Bush of West Brook, Maine, Robert A. Bush (Jane) of Houtzdale, and Adam M. Bush (Keri) of Arlington, Mass.; step children, Peter A. Young (Ivey) of Chelsea, Ala., Amanda J. Young, and Daniel Lautenschlager (Danyle) of Yulee, Fla.; five grandchildren, Robert A. Bush (Julie), Tyler Minarchick (Aubrey), Chris Minarchick (Kylie), Eli Bush and Ava Bush; and five great grandchildren, Rowan, Nolan, Jamison, Stella and Lincoln.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Jane Cunningham and Margaret Bush.
Friends will be received at the Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, on Friday, Feb. 28 from 3-5 p.m. All are invited to join the family for a meal and fellowship at Poppy & Co., 124 N. 2nd St. Philipsburg, following the viewing.
Because of Bob's objection to "fresh cut" flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in his memory, be made to either the Port Matilda American Legion, Wilson Patton Post, 510 W. Front St., Port Matilda, PA 16870 or to the Port Matilda EMS, 402 S. High St., Port Matilda, PA 16870.

So sorry about your loss.I will always remember Bob as my first employer , he taught me to not be afraid to try something that I never did before.I gained a lot of experience at more than just landscaping from him .Great man .

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My parents, Al and Jo Beres, always appreciated his interactions and stories. When I talked to him when I was visiting my parents, he was so interesting and I valued his kindness towards my parents. My thoughts are with you.
