RODGER KRAUSE Obituary
Born on Sept. 1, 1936 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late William F. and Florence E. (Hartman) Krause.
He married Marie H. (Nelson) Krause on Sept. 25, 1954 in Yellow Springs, and married for 67 years; she survives at home.
He was of the Christian Faith and was a self-employed logger.
Rodger enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and going to auctions. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his entire family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Bradford; one great-granddaughter, Taelin Goss; two sisters, Betty Miles and Helen Dinant; five brothers, William "WD" Krause, John Krause, Wesley Krause, Jim Krause and Harry Krause; and two sons-in-law, Mike Sabol IV and Dave Cassick.
Along with his wife he is survived by six daughters, Susan Mason and her husband Dusty of West Decatur, Donna Merritt and her husband Danny of West Decatur, Janet Richner and her husband Mark of West Decatur, Judy Krause of Philipsburg, June Sabol of West Decatur, and Lori Shimel and her husband Jody of West Decatur; one son, Mike Krause and his companion Pam Askey of West Decatur; two sisters, Jean Hamer of York, and Kathryn Ross of Delaware; 18 grandchildren29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, with Pastor Michelle Bodle officiating.
Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 17,2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
