RONALD TUSSEY Obituary

KARTHAUS - Ronald E. Tussey, 76, of Karthaus, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born March 8, 1945 in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Jake and Lois (Messer) Tussey.

On Aug. 3, 1996 in Karthaus, he married Eleanor "Ellie" (Walker) Meeker Tussey who survives in Karthaus.

Surviving are his step-children, Linda Picard and husband Dale of Frenchville, Lee Meeker and wife Missy of Frenchville, Tina Meeker-Moore and fiancé Robert Hahn of Moshannon, Barb Ettaro and husband Andy of Warriors Mark; and his daughter, Lois Alfred and husband Dan of Hampton, Ohio; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Tussey of Sun City, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his brother, Jake Tussey and wife April of Williamsburg, Ohio; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Helen Kovalick, Sr. of Karthaus.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Tussey; his step-daughter, Nancy; and step-son Ronnie; his sister, Linda Hudges; and his mother-in-law, Isabel "Gram" Walker.

Ronald was veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served during the Vietnam Era.

He was a truck driver for over 55 years and a member of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen's Club, Frenchville and the Frenchville V.F.W. He loved camping, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.

Following Ron's wishes, there will be no public visitation.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Karthaus Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 9, Karthaus, PA 16845.

Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, is in charge of the arrangements.
