RUSSELL HOWE Obituary
Born on Nov. 8, 1948 in Glen Richey, he was the son of the late Jess and Genevieve I. (Grove) Howe.
He married Sharon Kay Cartwright on July 14, 1973 in Hawk Run; she preceded him in death on May 28, 2023.
Russell was a member of the Christian faith.
He was also a member of the Morann Club. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a retired welder for UMI in Philipsburg.
Russell enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents and wife, Russell was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Kephart and Cathy Updike; and two brothers, Jesse Howe and William Howe.
He is survived by three sisters, Delores Litzinger of Clearfield, Ruby Clark and her husband Raymond of Philipsburg, and Sarah Conaway and her husband James of Milesburg; a brother, Walter Howe and his wife Amy of Osceola Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills. Pastor Doug Conway will officiate.
Burial will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
