RUSSELL SHAW Obituary
Russell was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born July 3, 1946 in Clearfield to Russell H. Shaw and Edith McKee Barber.
Russell A. Shaw was united in holy matrimony to Velma Shaw at Las Vegas, Nev. in 2015. Russell was a man of devotion, dedication, and a loving husband and father.
He leaves to cherish his memory by his loving wife Velma Shaw of Lancaster, Calif.; step daughter, Vickey Shy of Washington, D.C.; son, Russell A. (Rebekah) Shaw of Valparaiso, Ind.; daughter, Carrie (Aaron) Dunn of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Katharine (Shaw) Dove of Lebanon, Ohio; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was a 1964 graduate of Clearfield Area High School, Dubois Business College, and California State University Northridge. Russell was an active member in many Fraternal Organizations in the Antelope Valley including the Lancaster Moose Lodge. He also enjoyed spending his time attending sporting events such as the JetHawks and coaching many youth sports.
Russell had a thriving business as a tax preparer for many years and cared for his many clients.
Overall, Russell was a person of great character, respect, integrity, and a heart filled will love. He will be greatly missed by all.

Here is a memory of Russell Shaw
and its in his words as he told
me years later.
His eyes sparkled like sapphire . His salt and
pepper hair flop as if a rag dolls.
Sweat dipped down his body like rain.
Peppermint gum he was chewing strongly
floated in the air.
He knew that the baby was coming, as the room
was so silent a pin could be heard if dropped.
Then the pushing begin, and more waiting.
His experience in a delivery before me
was very linited.
His children before me looked like those
adorable infants on commercials.
All neat and cleaned up. When brought to him
When I came I came in a hurry no time for
a ride to the hospital.
So when I arrived I was a mess.
I looked just like what I been through.
His hands were bend over with arthritics ,
as he picked me up and wrapped me in a
cozy warm blanket and handed me to my mother.
Whenever he told me this story, he ended it
by reminding me that everyone born “unclean!”

I went to school with beaver in Dubois. We were pretty good friends. I didn´t know what became of him but sure am happy to hear he had a successful and happy life.
Sorry I didn´t know he lived in Lancaster as I have been spending winters in Costa Mesa California. I would have made it a point to get up to see him
