Sandra Shively Obituary
Born May 13, 1949 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of Edward H. and Esther (Shoksnyder) Shaw Sr.
She has worked at CYS in Clearfield as a secretary and worked at Clearfield State Police Barracks as a PCO where she retired after 25 years of service.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she served as secretary, treasurer, organist, and choir director. She was very musically talented and could play multiple instruments. She enjoyed canning and crocheting.
She especially loved her family, enjoyed family gatherings, cooking Sunday dinners. She was the matriarch and glue of her family.
On Dec. 31, 1988 in Niagara Falls, N.Y. she we Marvin R. "Snook" Shively, who preceded her in death in 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Brian Knepp; granddaughter, Tory Ann Marvin; and a brother, Ron Shaw.
She is survived by four children, Deborah Lynn Pleskonko (Michael) of West Decatur, Ray Franklin Shively and significant other Debra McFall of Turtle Point, Daniel Lee Knepp of Bigler, and Susan Renee Moore of West Decatur; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Hank Shaw of Florida, Theda Shaw and significant other Daryl Rabold of Harrisburg, Roger Shaw of West Decatur, and Ed Shaw Jr. (Joanne) of Curwensville; and a sister-in-law, Debra Shaw of Woodland.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shively will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday June 5, 2025 at 6 p.m. with Pastor Michael Knepp officiating. Interment will be held in the Reidy Cemetery in Wallaceton.
Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation at secure.givetochildrens.org.
