Wendell Weatherholtz Obituary
Born June 11, 1957 to Wendell and Nancy (Tomco) Weatherholtz, he was a 1976 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School. Wendell worked in the coal and oil industries over his career. He was also the co-owner of Moshannon Valley Floral. Wendell loved his family, gardening, being surrounded by music, playing guitar, and his tractor.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joyce Weatherholtz (Kitko) of Houtzdale; his mother, Nancy; his children, Nicole Weatherholtz of N.C., Beth (John) Socoski of Brooksville, Fla.; Richard L. Nicholson Jr. of Olanta, and Erik Nicholson of Madera. He is also survived by his buddy, Moses, his black lab. He is also survived by his siblings Rick Weatherholtz, Jerry (Al) English, Preston (Susan) Weatherholtz, and Melissa (Ken) Bauman; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held 11-1 p.m. and with services following on Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. at Madera United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Ford officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the "blessing box " on Hannah Street Houtzdale; or to the Madera United Methodist Church, 96 Spruce Street, Madera, PA 16661.
