B. Flaugher Obituary
Born Oct. 11, 1918, in Foxville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Victor J. and Bertha M. (Hoover) Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband C. Ross Flaugher March 23, 1979.
She attended Foxville School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Sabillasville.
She is survived by one daughter Linda L. (Flaugher) Coyle of Cascade, one grandson James D. "Jamie" Coyle IV and companion Jean of Cascade, one great-granddaughter Melanie Ross Coyle of Cascade and one special niece Michele Hollingsworth of Waynesboro.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters Mary Fox, Louise Bitner and Lydia Forrest, son-in-law James D. "Jim" Coyle III and nephew Donald Forrest Sr.
Services will be held Saturday Feb. 22, 2014, at 2 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md., with Pastor Janet I. Comings officiating. Burial will be in Brown's Cemetery, Foxville, Md. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church at 17015 Sabillasvile Road, Sabillasville, Md. 21780, or to J.L. Davis Funeral Home at 12525 Bradbury Ave., Smithsburg, Md. 21783.

Irene was our dear friend and neighbor for almost 40 years; we miss her already!! So many good memories to treasure (all those Church luncheons and picnics together,"breakfast out", sitting and chatting in or outside her house, enjoying "Nature" while gardening.) Our "Valley View" Summer Home won't be the same without her tender loving care in our absence. Irene was one of the most generous and giving individuals we've ever met and this was exemplified by the constant stream of friends and family to her house. There's a large space to fill without you Irene. Our condolences to your family and friends.

She was a Brown and I really appreciated being able to listen as she told of Browns of the past and she and her family have taken such good care of the Browns cemetery.Going back to Maryland just won't be the same without her john r. brown fort wayne in.
