Jerry Sprankle Obituary
Born Monday, June 27, 1932 in Fairfield, PA, he was the son of the late John Frederick Sprankle and the late Mary Pauline (Stouter) Sprankle.
Jerry was employed with Lutherville Supply& Equipment for many years.He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church for 50 years. Jerry really enjoyed spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years,Virginia E. Sprankle; two sons, Jerry L. Sprankle, Jr.& wife Grace of Smithsburg, MD and David A. Sprankle & wife Cheryl of Hagerstown, MD; daughter, Jeanne M. Wallace & husband Andy of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Esther A. Hrivnak of NJ and Helen Eakle of Waynesboro, PA; three brothers, John Frederick Sprankle of Waynesboro, PA, Leo Sprankle of Greencastle, PA and Donald Sprankle of Rouzerville, PA; seven grandchildren, Emily Marie Sprankle, Daniel Paul Sprankle, Justine Anna Wallace, Jenna Heather Wallace, Catherine Patrice Sprankle, Elizabeth Nicole Sprankle and Samuel David Sprankle.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dolores Mummert and Dorothy Sprankle.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday February 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, with Msgr. J. Bruce Jarboe as celebrant.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
