Aaron, a man with many friends, is already deeply missed. He is most well known for his jovial character, quick wit, love for sports and solid work ethic.
Aaron was born in Vallejo and grew up in Vacaville, graduating from Vacaville High School in 1987.
In 1990, Aaron was instrumental in the start-up of Rancho Solano Golf Course. In 1993, he transitioned to Paradise Valley Golf Course, and was again a key player in the development of the golf course operations. He was extremely committed to the success of both golf courses for 18 years. Aaron was elected to the Northern California Section of the Professional Golfers' Association in July of 1998 and was very proud of this accomplishment.
Aaron is survived by his mother, Christina Duque (Gil); father, Brent Abercrombie (Tracy); sister, Cynthia; brother, Galen; sister, Margaret; sister, Alexandra and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service welcoming all friends will be held at Paradise Valley Golf Course on Monday, April 28 at 1 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, (707) 425-4697.

TO AARON'S FAMILY.
THOUGH I AM SURE THAT ALL OF AARON'S GOLFING FRIENDS HAD MUCH THE SAME FEELING, THERE IS SOMETHING I WANT YOU TO KNOW.
THREE YEARS AGO I BEGAN MY RETURN TO GOLF AFTER A 20 YEAR LAYOFF. I BEGAN BY HITTNG BALLS AT PARDISE AND HANGING AROUND. IT WAS NOT LONG BEFORE I BEGAN TO FEEL THAT AARON WAS THE SORT OF PERSON WHO COULD HELP ME. I HAD NEVER MET HIM, JUST WATCHED PEOPLE, BUT HIS HUMANITY SOON BECAME OBVIOUS.
HE AGREED TO A LESSON AND TO LISTEN TO ME ABOUT WHAT I NEEDED SINCE I WAS ONCE PRETTY GOOD BEFORE I FELL ILL. I ACTUALLY JUST TOLD HIM I NEEDED BOTH A GOLF LESSON AND A FRIEND, LONG BEFORE I HAD AN IDEA OF WHAT THAT REALLY MEANT TO HIM.
I KNOW NOW. LET ME PUT IT THIS WAY.
THE WRITER ALISTAIR COOKE WROTE OF THE GREAT BOBBY JONES THAT IN ESSENCE HE WAS A GREATER GENLEMAN THAN EVEN A GOLFER. HE SAID THAT "HE HAD A CAT-LIKE INSTINCT FOR THE PERSON BEING LEFT ALONE IN THE BACK OF THE ROOM AND A WAY OF MAKING HIM FEEL WELCOME AND CLOSE."
AS WITH THE GREAT JONES, SO TOO WITH AARON. I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH I MISS HIM, HOW MUCH HE HELPED ME - NOT JUST WITH GOLF.
THANK YOU FOR THE FINE SON AND MAN YOU GAVE TO ALL US 'OTHERS'.
GREG EVANS.

Chris, Brent and Peanut,
Our hearts are saddened by the sudden news of the loss of Aaron. Truly this is more than a parent should have to endure. He was without a doubt, fabulous. We are praying that his memory will remain as brilliant as he was in your hearts. Take good care of each other and remain the loving family that you are.

Gone too soon, my heart aches for Chris, Brent and Peanut. Gina and Angela, Benny knew Aaron, his love of all sports and his passion for golf and his workplace. I have known Aaron since he was 3 yrs. old and watched him become the man he was, a very unique person and just a pleasure to know. He has touched many lives and his legacy will last for a long time.

I'm so at a loss for words but I do want Chris, Peanut, Jack, Bo & Glen to all know that I'm very sorry for your loss. Aaron was a great guy and he was so funny to be around. I'm so sad just knowing Aaron is no longer here to put a smile on your faces and the fact that you have to move forward after such a horrible loss. Please know that I love each of you and enjoyed the time I had being part of your family. We had some really good times eating BBQ & playing horseshoes...lol... I miss those days with all of you!!!
Please know that I'm here as a friend and hope to see you all again soon. I'm sorry I wasn't able to make the memorial service and I'm really sorry that I can't be present to give each of you a hug!!! I miss Aaron just knowing he's no longer here and I hope you all can find peace knowing Aaron is still here in spirit.

I was a little kid learning golf when Ranch Solano was built and always remember Aaron being there, and later at Paradise Valley. When I turned 16 I got my first job at Paradise as a cart attendant, and needless to say, Aaron taught me a whole lot. He caddied for me when I passed my P.A.T. to become a PGA Apprentice. I always looked up to him and saw him as a pillar of the golfing community. Thank you for everything Aaron, you are deeply missed.

I first met Aaron as a student in my class at Vaca High. I was always pleased to hear his voice on the line at Paradise, and on occasion he'd help me with the finer points of my short game. I will miss you, my friend; you made this small chunk of the world a better place.

We have been friends for almost a lifetime. I never thought I would have to say I am so sorry that you lost a child. Our kids were born together and had so many good times together growing up. I am so sad that you have to go through this unbearable sorrow. You are in my every thought and prayer.

I lived across the street from Aaron for awhile and we had many conversations about all sports. He was a fine young man and loved doing what he was doing. I am shocked and saddened to hear this news. My sympathy goes out to his family. God Bless.

I remember all the good times we had as youngsters together going camping, spending a whole week on a house boat at Lake Shasta, riding motor cycles, and having rock fights in your bacyard in Vacaville. I know when both of our parents divorced we kind of went our seperate ways, but, I will miss you, and I love you Aaron. My condolences go out to Uncle Brent, Chris, and Peanut.

There are no words to express how much Aaron meant to the Swayne Family. He grew up with us, went on family vacations with us, and treated us with such love. He was like a son to Larry and I, and a brother to George. There is an empty spot in our hearts that will be with us always. We love and miss you so much, Aaron. We will always be there for Chris and his family, if ever they need us.
All Our Love and Prayers,
Larry, Jackie & George

I met Aaron after high school when we worked at the Green Tree golf course in Vacaville and saw him go on to get his professional teaching credentials for golf and to make a difference in the local courses that he worked at. He took the time to show me how to play golf (which was no easy task) and was always friendly when I would go to the golf course (Rancho Solano and Paradise Valley). Aaron was also great with kids and I only wish that he could have met mine but I moved out of the area 7 years ago. My condolences to his sister, Cynthia (Peanut), his mother and stepdad and his father, stepmother and their children.

I always thought the world of Aaron. It was always so nice to call Paradise Valley Golf Course and hear the friendly, "This is Aaron speakin' " He was a very special man and I am so sorry that he is lost to all of us. Donna Cannaday

I knew Aaron through my younger brother James. They played golf together and every time I would play at Paradise Valley, Aaron would ask about James and the rest of my family. He was a great person whom I was fortunate to have called a friend.
