Dear Jansen Family,
My whole heart is heavy. Dr. Jansen was a truely respected hero in the days, months, to almost two years I spent assisting him at his clinic Alamo After Hours in my younger adult years and early career in Medical Assisting. He was more than any one person could be. He taught me so much about medicine, history, government, business, even motherhood. I will always and forever look upon him and the memories and talks we shared when our paths crossed. The last time I saw him was when he came to see me at work in Kaiser Vacaville and brought me the book he had just published and autographed it right in front of me writing " To the BEST Medical Assistant ever! " I never saw him again but thought of him often all throughout my medical career and life. He will always be in my heart. I am so sad that I just learned of this- a year too late
With loving condolences,
Janelle Cookston

Dr. Jansen,
I have been trying to get in touch with you and Frances. My whole family was deeply saddened when seeing this obituary. We had such great times working together. You were a mentor and great friend. I will never forget the books and all our timeless discussions.

My husband & I, along with our young family were lucky to be neighbors of Al´s for about 7 years.
It was a true pleasure, Al was a True Treasure.
From his wonderful stories & photos, I would say Al lived & loved an amazing life.
He will be missed greatly~
