George Deremer Obituary
George Deremer, 96, passed away peacefully on Oct. 28, surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in San Francisco.
George was preceded in death by Marjorie, his adoring wife of 57 years. He is survived by his daughters, Joan Scalabrino (Frank) and Pat Challburg (Bob); his grandchildren, Jeff Scalabrino (Tammy), Cindy Sacca (Mike), Stacy Stream (Chris) and Michael Challburg; and eight great-grandchildren, Randy, Scott, Candice and Brandy Scalabrino, Hayden, McKenna and Carson Sacca and Jackson Stream.
In 1960, he moved his family to Fairfield to be the customer services supervisor for PG&E. He retired in 1977, after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Suisun, a past president of the Fairfield Kiwanis and was involved in many community service projects.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf, and, most of all, family gatherings.
George will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a kind and generous man with a quick wit, a great sense of humor and loved by all. We will truly miss him.
At his request private services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Kaiser Hospice 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo, 94589.
