JAMES FRANCIS
Surrounded by his loving family at his home, James "Jim" Dunlay, 82, of Oakmont, PA, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2014. Beloved husband for 59 years of Mary Lou (Kernan) Dunlay; loving father of Jim (Cecilia) Dunlay of Allegheny Township, Peg (Chris) Kendra of Charleston, South Carolina, Pat Dunlay Lauff of Oakmont, and Michael Dunlay of Chicago; adored grandfather of Jennifer, Michael, Christopher, Allison, Kelly, Carlye, Daniel, Hanna, Erin, and Mackenzie; son of the late Francis Charles and Margaret Marie Dunlay; brother of the late Edward and Butch Dunlay; brother-in-law of Marilyn Dunlay, and the late Dolores and Patricia Dunlay. Jim was retired from Union Railroad and Pittsburgh & Conneaut Dock Company. Member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont, served in the Army during the Korean War, and served as president of Riverview School Board in the 1970s. Jim will be remembered for his unwavering depth of love and devotion to his wife and family, his quiet, yet commanding presence, his gift of imparting wisdom with few words, and his ever-present Irish wit. In his company, friends and family felt loved and safe. He was a man of deep faith who was grateful to live a full and richly blessed life. Those who were loved by Jim will be comforted by his eternal presence in their lives. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at visitation at BURKET - TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, on Thursday, May 8, from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, May 9, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, May 10, St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, 12:30 p.m. Family suggests memorials to The Oakmont Boulevard Project, P.O.
