A memorial service will be conducted for Phyllis Jean Feaster of Vacaville at 11 a.m. Friday at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville. Scattering of ashes will follow.
Mrs. Feaster, 78, died at VacaValley Hospital on Aug. 31, 2007, after a long, hard-fought and brave battle with a rare lung disease.
A native of Goshen, Ind., Mrs. Feaster had lived in Vacaville for 35 years and was a 15-year employee of Basic Vegetable.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Stanley J. Feaster.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Terry L. and Wayne Kelly of Roseville; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Katie Feaster of Vacaville; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Doris Whitehead of Syracuse, Ind.; grandchildren Steven Feaster of Coarsegold, Dak Feaster of Sparks, Nev., and Colin R. Kelly and Casey L. Kelly, both of Roseville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

I was so sorry to hear of Phyllis's death. I used to live in V.V. and had coffee with her many times at Winchell's over the years. She was one of the nicest people that it has been my pleasure to know. I know her family and friends will miss her.
