Robert Bates Obituary
A Celebration of Life for Robbie Bates, 21, of Vacaville, will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22, from noon to 6 p.m. at Hide-A-Way Lounge and Grill, 1080 Orange Drive, Vacaville.
Robbie passed away in Fairfield on Jan 10. He was born in Vallejo, Calif., on Nov. 8, 1990. Robbie attended Markham Elementary School before moving to the mountains where he finished his schooling at Greenville High.
He liked to cook, spend time in the mountains and grow plants. He had a fun personality and considered himself a "model."
Robbie is survived by his father, Rick; Candace Sweet; brother, Preston; sister, Destiny; aunts, Lisa and Dana; grandfather, Bob Bates; nephews, Anthony and Cole; numerous uncles, adopted moms and friends.

So many fond memories of Robbie, Preston and Chopper racing around the tire store with JoeBob egging them the boys on makes me smile. I am truly saddened to hear of Robbie's passing. Rick I am sorry I missed the celebration. Until our paths cross again brother God Bless you.

Just want you to know that you will be dearly missed Robbie. Even though we didn't grow up together doesn't mean that I didn't consider you my brother any less. Robbie was my adopted son who I loved very much. He cooked for our family regulary and he was welcome here. He was a big brother to Alex and Cameron and they miss him very much. Robbie you are loved and please continue to look down on all of the "brothers", "sisters" and your "mom" that you left behind.
