Thomas Staples Obituary

Nov. 14,1928 - April 18, 2018 Vacaville Major Thomas L. Staples, Tom to his friends and G-Pa to his family, died this past Wednesday, April 18 in Vacaville, CA. Tom was born November 14, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hilda and Lawrence Staples. Tom is survived by his three children, Tom, Tracy and Jeff, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one more on the way. Tom, a Vacaville resident since 1974 was active in the Senior Center of Vacaville, serving as Commissioner on Aging for one term. Tom retired from the Air Force in 1976 where he served his country as a pilot and fought in Vietnam war. After retiring from the military, Tom worked in flight operations at the Napa Airport for over fifteen years. Tom was an avid bridge player and loved to entertain his family and friends at the Staples Family home. Cards may be sent to 175 Tahoe Dr., Vacaville CA 95687 and any donations can be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to thank the fine doctors and nurses at Vaca Valley Hospital for their kindness and respect.
