Doris Blackledge Obituary

DORIS BLACKLEDGE Doris B. Blackledge, 80, of Lansdale passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital. Born January 2, 1932 in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer R. and Martha (Bergey) Moyer. Mrs. Blackledge grew up in the First Baptist Church in Lansdale. She was employed for over 25 years at P M Fasteners in Harleysville. She enjoyed visiting the various senior centers in the area playing pinochle with her friends. Mrs. Blackledge loved reading, bird watching and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Blackledge and his wife, Judy, of Lansdale, David M. Blackledge and his wife, Diane, of Akron, PA, and Marty Bucci and her husband, Craig, of Sellersville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Jean West. Services are being held privately for the family. For those wishing contributions may be made in her memory to the Stray Cat Blues, P.O. Box 5, Colmar, PA 18915. I did not know that Doris passed until my Christmas card sent this year returned. I spoke with her in Jan. of 2012. I am truly saddened to hear of this. I worked with Doris @ PM Fasteners. I would of gone to the service had I known. My sincerest condolences.
