Gertrude was a good soul. She was allways helpful and she had coruscating humor. Even though their was a big distance between our homes we kept in touch all the time. We will never forget her.

Gertrude was very special to everyone at St.Paul's. She visited everyone who was ever in the hospital and was the first to memorialize deceased members in the Garden of Sweet Memories. She will be missed by the entire congregation.

Gertrude has been a long-time friend to the Dodel family; even before I was born. Gertrude became somewhat of an adopted Grandma to my sons. She attended their graduations and was very good to them and me. Our family, here and abroad, will all miss her dearly; however, I truly believe she is a wonderful place now.

Gertrude was special in so many ways! She was a dear friend to our family! We will never forget the most delicious desserts she baked and brought to our family celebrations. No one made a better "goodie" than Gertrude! She NEVER forgot a birthday or anniversary...who else could manage to get a card in the mail to reach your home exactly on that special day? Her kindness touched our hearts. I can only wonder how many people she went to visit on a daily basis to help bring happiness to their days. Her memory will never be forgotten! Thank you, God, for offering the gift of Gertrude's love! Sincerely, Monica and Jim Waeltz (David and Corinna) and our extended family...the Klein's and the Bruno's!
