Josephine Vasta Obituary

Josephine G. Vasta (nee Gabrielle), 92, was born on February 16, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA and passed away quietly on July 13, 2021 at Dock Woods in Lansdale, PA after a prolonged illness. She is survived by her son Alfred and his wife Vicki, her daughter Nancy and her husband Ralph. She was the devoted grandmother of Allison Vasta Nicholson (Peter) and Alfred Vasta, Jr. (Stephanie). Loving great grandmother of her four great grandchildren; Drew, Alex, Addison and Grace. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Vasta in 2002. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in North Wales, PA. A lifelong resident of North Wales and an active member in many organizations including the Norristown Garden Club, St. Rose of Lima Keenagers the North Wales Library, the North Wales Civic Club and Grandview Hospital Volunteers, where she was awarded the Love Award for her over 4,000 hours of service. She graduated from North Wales High School in 1948 and Taylor Business School in 1949. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Funeral Mass Friday at 11 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church 424 S. Main St. North Wales, PA 19454. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation at the Church Friday after 9:30 AM. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery. ( www.mayfuneralhome.com)
