Matthew McNamee Obituary

Matthew C. McNamee, 23, of Lansdale, died peacefully on March 13, 2017 after a 23 month fight from a traumatic brain injury. He was born September 28, 1993 in Norristown, PA. Matthew majored in Broadcast Multimedia at Temple University where he hosted the Matty Mac Radio Hour. He was a 2012 graduate from Lansdale Catholic High School. He touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Matthew is survived by his parents Bernard and Kathleen (Drea) of Lansdale; his brother Patrick and future sister-in-law, Danielle Vitorla and his dog Teddy. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Jim and Theresa Drea of Norristown; his paternal grandparents, the late Patrick and Josephine McNamee as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family & Friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, March 17th at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446 from 6pm-9pm and another viewing Saturday, March 18th at St. Helena RC Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422 from 9:30am-11am followed by his Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions, in Matthew’s name, can be made online to MossRehab https://advance.einstein.edu/donatenow or mail MossRehab, Office of Development, Braemer Education Building, 5501 Old York Road, Philadelphia, PA 19141.
