Charlotte DeBurger Obituary
Charlotte was born October 2, 1959, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Pete and Evelyn Almond Moore.
She worked for almost 20 years as a manicurist at A Room with a Do in Columbus. Charlotte was an active member at Community Church of Columbus, where she was involved with Small Groups, Life Hurts, God Heals and Divorce Care 4 Kids. She enjoyed membership in the Psi Iota Xi Sorority, where among other activities, she volunteered at several thrift stores including her sorority's thrift store. Mentoring teenage girls at Youth Hope was very close to her heart. She always had a passion for making greeting cards and some of her hobbies include bike riding, traveling, decorating and gardening. She was an active member of the community and had a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Matthew (Natalie) DeBurger of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Sadie DeBurger; nieces, Megan (Russ) Hawkins of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Heather (Mike) Dunn of Raleigh, North Carolina; and a great-niece, Ashton Matheson of Edmond, Oklahoma.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Evelyn Moore and her sister, Tia Gipson.
A memorial service celebrating Charlotte's life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; John Sichting will officiate. A live stream of the memorial service may be viewed at 3 p.m. Saturday at barkesweaverglick.com.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. All are welcome. We do ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (theaftd.org), cards are available at the funeral home.
